Library, procrastination and data engineering..

Well, so I am again in the library. And I wanted to take a break from studying about CAP vs ACID theorums and making ETL pipelines in Apache Cassandra... so here i am writing a post.

I am thinking of updating this on a regular basis now. So yeah. Yesterday was a good day. Vishesh bhai offered me to go with him to Revere Beach (where his friends from merchant navy were coming). Man, they were awesome. One was from lucknow and another from haryana (jhajjar) and they will be boarding their ship from providence and had a stay in boston for a day. I was shocked to know that they will be staying in waters till 6 months straight!! No sight of land... kudos to them.

Also, I met Utkarsh who is from UP and is placed in Nvidia (california) as a deep learning engineer. Soooooo coooool. So yeah, they came at my place. I made them tea, which to my surprise, they enjoyed! And then they went. Maybe I won't meet those two again in this life, but I'll definitely remember their faces.

We watched Portugal vs Belgium (euro cup) and then went to this place near Four Seasons (boston airport) where we had lunch. It was a good experience in all. I also became super motivated to study all about data engineering because why not!?

I miss indian summers tho. Ganne ka juice and rabdi... but i am making peace with making pancakes at home and arizona tea. 

life is good. i am grateful.

Straight from the Heart... my small town and the festivals.

Hey Stalker! I came across this beautiful poem by Wang Ping called "Things We Carry in the Sea". Whose excerpts are like: "We carry soil in our small bags; may home never fade in our hearts We carry names, stories, memories of our villages, fields, boats" And also another couplet: We carry old homes along the spine, new dreams on our chests We carry yesterday, today, and tomorrow... I always tend to feel a bit lonely whenever its major festival in India. Today is Dusshehra. I miss my small town. It's called Indore; the name of which is unheard by most people. When I was a boy, I used to be excited about this day. Used to watch Ramayan on TV and then would wear new clothes and wait for evening Pooja. Then Baba would take us to watch the Raavan. Sometimes at Jai Baba's house or at Dusshehra Maidan.  One time I remember, we went to Babu Bhai's house and he made us Kheer. Valentine's Week !

World is celebrating 'valentines week'. The week of love. Its gooood! People have something to distract themselves from this cruel world and spend some time with 'beloved'. This made me think about 'love' and here's what i came up with. Love is something that has been largely misinterpreted by people out there. It is only being restricted to physical attraction and infatuation. The 'couple goals' are the people who seem beautiful to us on instagram, or those who show their love publicly, or if a boy decorates a table in a cafe etc.. Well, what i think is: it is waaaayyy beyond this. It is when you just feel a deeper level of connection with someone. Even if you go days without any form of talking or connection, you are assured that no matter what, nothing can set you apart from him/her.
