Egypt Itinerary

For the last 2 weeks, my travel monkey was itching me a lot. And I chose to follow it's wishes. Which was to take a solo trip of Africa. But given the fact that I've to meet my family back in India, I decided that I'll travel for 1 week in December.

The 2 travel destinations in my mind were Morocco and Egypt. Morocco because of the beautiful city of Marakkech and Casablanca. And Egypt for Luxor, Hurgada, Alexandria, and Cairo (Giza). So, I decided to give Egypt a shot because of variety of places to explore.

In this post, I'll make an itinerary of my trip (which I'll keep editing as and when required)... just in case any of you need to follow it.

Places

New York - Cairo (Via Flight)

Cairo - Giza

Giza - Luxor

Luxor - Aswan

Aswan - Hurgada

Hurgada - Cairo

Cairo - Delhi (via Flight)

Activities 

(TBD... I'm thinking of Nile River Cruise, Camel Rides in Giza, Quadbikes in Hurgada... but have to explore)

Budget

(At the moment it'll be around 1 Lakh for a luxury trip according to my estimations.. but have to research about this and will edit in the coming days).

This itinerary will take around 2-3 weeks to come into shape, and will keep editing. Suggestions are always welcome!!

Straight from the Heart... my small town and the festivals.

Hey Stalker! I came across this beautiful poem by Wang Ping called "Things We Carry in the Sea". Whose excerpts are like: "We carry soil in our small bags; may home never fade in our hearts We carry names, stories, memories of our villages, fields, boats" And also another couplet: We carry old homes along the spine, new dreams on our chests We carry yesterday, today, and tomorrow... I always tend to feel a bit lonely whenever its major festival in India. Today is Dusshehra. I miss my small town. It's called Indore; the name of which is unheard by most people. When I was a boy, I used to be excited about this day. Used to watch Ramayan on TV and then would wear new clothes and wait for evening Pooja. Then Baba would take us to watch the Raavan. Valentine's Week !

World is celebrating 'valentines week'. The week of love. Its gooood! People have something to distract themselves from this cruel world and spend some time with 'beloved'. This made me think about 'love' and here's what i came up with. Love is something that has been largely misinterpreted by people out there. It is only being restricted to physical attraction and infatuation. The 'couple goals' are the people who seem beautiful to us on instagram, or those who show their love publicly, or if a boy decorates a table in a cafe etc.. Well, what i think is: it is waaaayyy beyond this. It is when you just feel a deeper level of connection with someone. Even if you go days without any form of talking or connection, you are assured that no matter what, nothing can set you apart from him/her.
